Peay on fire
Maine sophomore guard Malachi Peay has been making up for lost time for the Black Bears since returning from early season injuries.
Peay has averaged 13 points, and 5.6 rebounds in the last five games - a team high. Maine (8-11, 3-3 America East) has gone 3-2 in that span.

He put up a team-high 17 in a 76-71 loss against Hartford, and snagged eight rebounds in 61-59 loss to UMBC, also a team-high.
Peay fractured his upper jaw against Quinnipiac on Nov. 25 then missed seven games. He returned against Canisus on Dec. 30 only to leave the game after a collision under the hoop that required three stitches to close a gash above his eye.
Maine next plays Boston University (8-9, 3-2) at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Alfond Arena.

Other than statistics, Peay is showing that he could provide the Black Bears with a player capable of getting to the rim, making defenses think about something other than defending the outside shot.

I agree with you dutcher, however, Ive been watching malachi peay, since high school, I saw some of his tapes, he's fascinating to watch, he pays strict attention on the court, and follows the ball very well, I would like to see him dribble more and get the ball more, with a little more experience, he may be nba material..
