Maine catcher Myckie Lugbauer was named a third-team Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper today.
Lugbauer led Maine with 43 RBIs last year and 19 doubles.
He finished the year with some solid batting stats:
• .343 batting average
• .552 slugging percentage
• .412 on-base percentage

In the field Lugbauer posted a .989 fielding percentage with only three errors in 280 chances. He threw out 65 percent of runners attempting a stolen base against him, catching 7-of-13 runners.
Lugbauer was the America East Rookie of the Year and a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2007.
