Maine football wins

ORONO -- Maine shut down Northeastern 20-0 on Saturday for its third straight Colonial Athletic Association win.

Linebacker Mark Masterson picked off a pass in the first quarter and ran it back 79 yards for a score.

QB Michael Brusko connected a 14-yarder with Landis Williams at 7:56 of the second quarter.

Williams struck again in the third with a 39-yard reception on a screen pass.

Fluellen update: He rushed for 46 yards on nine carries, and had two long rushes called back because of holding calls.

12:05 p.m. -- Maine tailback Jhamal Fluellen is dressed and on the sideline ready to play in Maine's noon game against Northeastern which will kick off momentarily...

Fluellen has been out since Sept. 20 with a head injury, and will line up as a slot receiver today according to team sources.

College.
