Weekly Awards

Men's soccer midfielder Peter McHugh of Portland was named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals and assisting on two others last week.

McHugh scored two goals and an assist in the Huskies' 5-0 non-conference win
over Thomas College on Sept. 23, then scored again and assisted the game-
winner in a 2-1 OT win over UMass-Boston last Saturday.

McHugh is the Huskies leading scorer with 22 points, 9 goals, 4 assists.

  • St. Joe's had two runners honored in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Awards.

    Senior Ryan Prescott is the GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after placing ninth overall (first for St. Joe's) in the Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College, on Sept. 27. Prescott finished in 26:43.

    Freshman Bobby Britten of Scarborough is the GNAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week after finishing as the third St. Joe's runner in 30:47 time, good for 154th overall.
