That's a wrap
"Battle for the Butter" hoopla came to a close this morning after Maine football coach Jack Cosgrove was interviewed on ESPN's "Mike and Mike in the Morning."
Cosgrove recapped the game, made a few jokes and offered up a six-pack of Maine lobsters at the end to the Mikes.
In case you missed it, Cosgrove came on about 18 minutes into third hour of the show (listen here).

Later this morning Cosgrove talked about what the whole experience was like:
"We didn't really pay much attention to it while it was going on. Didn't really understand it in terms of the butter thing," he said. "But I guess it did bring a lot of attention to the program in some ways."
Cosgrove said the team was more focused on improving its operation heading into the Stony Brook game. Maine won 28-13.
"During the course of the week last week the coaches and our players were really foucsed," said Cosgrove. "We didn't feel we had made that step we wanted between Iowa and Monmouth. We really wanted to do that from week two to week three."
"We feel like we did make some significant improvement. But I don't know that there was much talk about the butter thing in the locker room."
Maine (2-1) opens its Colonial Athletic Association schedule at fourth-ranked Richmond (2-1, 1-0 CAA) Saturday.
