Rousseau moves on

Cue the music. The credits. And so ends the Emily Rousseau saga at the University of Maine.

Here is today's piece with Rousseau's reaction to being released from her scholarship at Maine. It includes some reaction from the State House where some legislators were apparently buzzing about her situation.

Rousseau, of Biddeford, will now be free to pursue a scholarship at another program. She has contacted Assumption College, Stonehill College and St. Anselm's already.

In case you missed our coverage here are some links to bring you up to speed.

Here is Wednesday's update.

Here is Saturday's story where Rousseau explains why she has left the program and is fighting to be released from her scholarship.

Here is the original story from last Wednesday detailing four departures from the team.

Jenn covers the University of Maine for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.

A former Portland Pirates beat writer who has covered two winter Olympics for the paper, she will tackle the Maine beat for a fourth year this season.

She has the empty coffee cups, and turnpike mileage receipts littering her
excellent-gas-mileage
Honda Civic to prove it.

Though she is a graduate of rival New Hampshire, she almost never thinks of that 1999 hockey game anymore.
