It's about to get busy in Orono. . .
The meat of the men's hockey schedule begins to unfold with Friday's game against first place Northeastern.
Maine - just 3-5-2 and in 9th place in Hockey East - will be charged to make up some ground in the next few weeks.
The team is coming off a split at the Florida College Classic. After beating Clarkson 5-3 Maine lost 6-0 to UMass Lowell.
Women's Basketball (3-10) opens America East play on Saturday with a 7 p.m. tilt against UMBC in Orono.
Men's Basketball (4-8) opens America East play at Stony Brook on Sunday. It's first home America East game is Jan. 16 against Vermont.
