Bishop Rewarded

Maine's big goalie Ben Bishop turned away 73-of-78 shots by Denver through opening weekend, including a career high 46 on Friday night.

His performance earned him the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday.

Despite the showing, his team offered little goal support and Maine lost 2-0 and 3-1 to open the season 0-2.

The team will open at home this weekend against Mercyhurst, with a chance to climb to .500.

Hey, Jenn! Trying to bump up your blog stats! You should mention that Ben Bishop did a GREAT job despite being questionable for the game--wasn't he injured or something?

Anyway, how do you keep up with your blog everyday?
