Scontras launches radio ad

Republican congressional candidate Dean Scontras released his first radio ad this morning. Campaign Manager Michael Pajak said that the commercial is currently airing on talk stations WLOB and WGAN.

The ad is called "Change Washington." It's another example of how politicians of all stripes are running on a message of change, convinced that voters are unhappy with the status quo.

Scontras is running against Charlie Summers for the GOP nomination in Maine's 1st Congressional District. The seat is being vacated by Democratic Rep. Tom Allen, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

You can listen to the audio of the Scontras ad
here.

Here is the transcript:

ANNOUNCER: We live in challenging times – and career politicians seem less concerned about improving our way of life.

SCONTRAS: I'm Dean Scontras. My family has been in Maine for 80 years. I'm running for Congress because Mainers are tired of Washington politics - our economy has slowed, we're being taxed more and we are losing jobs in Maine.

ANNOUNCER: Republican Dean Scontras has the energy, ideas and the passion needed to change Washington.

SCONTRAS: We can fix these problems we face. I want to lower our taxes, reduce regulations on small businesses, cut wasteful spending to fix the economy and return more jobs to Maine. That means less government, and more opportunities for Maine families and businesses to succeed.

I'm Dean Scontras, Republican candidate for Congress and I approve this message because it's time to elect a Congressman who will fight for Maine's hardworking families.

ANNOUNCER: Vote Republican Dean Scontras on June 10th.
