In the 1st Congressional District race, two Democratic candidate forums are scheduled for this week: Tuesday night in Scarborough, and Wednesday night in Limerick.

Here's the full schedule of campaign events:

Monday, April 28

5:30 p.m., Democrat Adam Cote attends a campaign house party at the home of Meg Baxter in Cape Elizabeth. For more information, call 347-3103.

Tuesday, April 29

7 p.m., Republican Dean Scontras holds “Evening with Dean” event, Town Office, 100 Main St., Topsham. For more information, call 432-2877.

5-7 p.m., Democrat Michael Brennan host a campaign house party hosted by Polly Blake and Skeek Frazee, 26 Brackett St., Portland.

7 p.m., Democrats Michael Brennan, Mark Lawrence, Chellie Pingree participate in a Democratic candidate forum, Scarborough Municipal Building, 259 Route One.

Wednesday, April 30

5:30 p.m., Democrat Chellie Pingree attends a campaign house party, 55 Bowdoin St., Portland.

8 p.m., Democrats Michael Brennan, Adam Cote, Chellie Pingree, Mark Lawrence participate in a candidate forum, Limerick Building, 55 Washington St., Limerick.

Thursday May 1

Noon, Democrat Adam Cote speaks about the Iraq War and veterans issues, Westbrook Armory, 120 Stroudwater Ave., Westbrook. To RSVP, call 347-3103.

Friday, May 2

5:30 p.m., Democrat Chellie Pingree attends a campaign house party at the home of Senate Majority Leader Libby Mitchell, 277 Cushnoc Rd., Vassalboro.

6 p.m., Democrat Mark Lawrence attends a fundraising event for the Saco Bay Democrats at the home of Marilyn and Lew Gaffen, 54 Sokokis Dr., Dayton.

6:30-8:30 p.m., Democrat Michael Brennan attends a campaign house party hosted by Anne Gass and Phil Ohman host Brennan house party, 232 N. Raymond Rd., Gray.

Saturday, May 3

4 p.m., Democrat Ethan Strimling attends a campaign house party at the home of Jan Veinot, 41 Bayview St., Yarmouth.

6-8 p.m., Democrat Michael Brennan attends a campaign house party in Cumberland, hosted by Michael and Kathleen O'Brien and Doug and Barbara Babkirk. To RSVP, call 773-1323.

6:30 p.m., Democrat Ethan Strimling attends a campaign house party at the home of Kelly Hasson and Nick Mavadones, 79 Chenery St., Portland.

Sunday, May 4

11 a.m.-1 p.m., Democrat Michael Brennan attends a campaign house party in Kennebunk, hosted by Melissa Boyd. For more information, call 773-1323.

3-5 p.m., Democrat Mark Lawrence attends the Sagadahoc Democrats' spring social, West Bath Firehouse, Old Bath Rd.

I would like to report that Congressman Ron Paul is still in the running for president. There will be many delegates at the Maine GOP convention on May2&3 who support Ron Paul. People seem to have false information about this. The media has not been telling the truth. I wish you folks here would look into the matter.
