Who do you love?

With John Edwards expected to drop out of the presidential race this afternoon, I thought I'd post the Democratic congressional candidates' views on their party's presidential candidates.

I asked them whether they're supporting a particular candidate. Keep in mind that I did these interviews during the week of the New Hampshire primary, so the candidates' preferences may have changed since then.

Here are their responses:

* Michael Brennan said that he supports Barack Obama.

* Adam Cote said that he likes all the Democratic presidential candidates but is leaning toward Obama.

* Mark Lawrence said that he is not supporting any particular candidate in the Democratic field.

* Steve Meister did not express support for any one candidate, speaking favorably about both Obama and Hillary Clinton.

* Chellie Pingree did not express a preference among the Democratic candidates.

* Ethan Strimling said that he’s supported and given money to Clinton, but is excited about all of the Democratic candidates.

This is really interesting. I wonder if super Tuesday passes without producing a clear nominee if we will see formal endorsements by these candidates at the caucuses?

That must get sticky for them since they all aim to get to DC and work with one of these two...I think I would respect someone more for making a choice and sticking with it without worrying about consequences.
