Friday press conferences

The countdown to the Patriots' fifth appearance in seven years in an AFC championship game continues on Friday when the league holds its pre-game press conferences, to be televised live on NFL Network.

From Foxborough's Gillette Stadium, head coach Bill Belichick will be joined by players Tom Brady, Kevin Faulk, Tedy Bruschi and Mike Vrabel – who will each be playing in their fifth conference title game – beginning at 2 p.m.

Then at 3 p.m., from San Diego's Chargers Park, head coach Norv Turner will be joined by players Philip Rivers, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shawne Merriman.
After that, media access is shut down until game time Sunday, when the Patriots look to improve to 18-0 and stop San Diego's eight-game winning streak.
