Vegas preview and pick

I'm going on vacation. I'm flying out tomorrow morning to visit my best friend in North Carolina. The weather is forecasted to be in the 60's, not to rub it in or anything. But better than that, NO SNOW. I can't leave soon enough!

The Junior Nation blog brought in some feedback. Thanks for all the great comments, Nation. They were very entertaining and I like my new nickname... "Jenniepoo." Keep checking back because the comments are still trickling in and they are entertaining. You know me, I'm in it for the hits. (That's how I keep my job, according to one commenter.)

We're off to Vegas. Ahhh....sin city. Here's the NASCAR Newscast: Shelby 427 Preview:

Nothing but clouds being shown for the weather forecast over the next few days. Let's hope they can get in qualifying and the race without resistance from Mother Nature. Here's the broadcast schedule for the weekend.

I'm going with Carl Edwards for the win here. He won here last year and I'm feeling a three-peat for Jack Roush.

Who's your pick?

All for now.

Yours truly,
Jenniepoo

Kenseth may do a 3-peat, but probably not. Any Roush driver is probably a good pick since 5 drivers are competing for 4 spots.

Kurt Busch says he's going all out to win at his home track, but I'll bet his brother will beat him.

I'll pick Kyle.

Judging by the front row, both Busches are looking for a win in Vegas. I would have to give it to Kyle as well.

I like Kyle too. I think he may have the motivation now, starting from the back. But then again. isn't half of the field? Hope they get those Toyota motors going again.

I also hope it is as exciting as the Nationwide race. What a mess! I couldn't have predicted the winner until the last couple of laps.

The Jr nation column has to be one of the best blogs I have read. Whether it was for hits or not, they sure are entertaining. Let's see if we can keep it going after Vegas.

Jenny-poo must be stuck in NC where it doesn't snow! Anyone want to make a pick for Atlanta?

Tires may be an issue so it could be a crap shoot, but I'll pick Kyle Busch for this one again. After being down after the bad Chase season last year, he's got his attitude back. Go Rowdy.

I am glad to see that both of my responses went through last week. I picked Kyle Busch to win in my first response, but it never posted. I waited a day and posted a second response. That did not go through. Of course he grabbed a win at Las Vegas and my pick was not seen. Finally, on Monday, both of the posts made it through. Not that it was a surprise that I picked Kyle, but I wanted my credit!

So in the absence of Jen (???????), I guess we need to ask if anyone has a pick for Atlanta? I have to go with the younger Busch again. He pulled off a phenomenal win in the truck series. I am impressed by the way he made that win happen. We know he can win at Atlanta. Does anyone else have a pick for tomorrow?

Well, I made my post yesterday morning and it is just showing up now. Where do they go in the meantime?

I think they are held somewhere for screening and censoring. This is a family site after all.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
