Here's the NASCAR Newscast: Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Race 8 Recap:
Qualifying for the Checker O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 is set for 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.
I'm picking the same driver I picked last week to win, Jeff Burton. He has a good record here and finished in the top ten in April. I had a hard time picking this week. I don't want Johnson or Edwards to win this weekend. It's time to have someone different in victory lane.....p l e a s e.
I am having a hard time picking too even though Edwards or Johnson would be logical choices. They both have to go for it, I just don't want to see another win for one of them either.
The driver I planned to pick doesn't have a great average at Phoenix, but has done well at other similar tracks so I think I will wait and see what qualifying and practice looks like.Starting up front can make the difference.
Smoke steals it. One last win for JGR as a driver.

Okay, I didn't want to do it, but I'll pick Johnson.Being out front means alot and everyone will really have to be on their game to beat Jimmie and Chad.
Is Kenseth your fantasy pick DW? Jimmie will be mine.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
