Harvick pushing and shoving with big bully, Edwards
There's nothing like a good scuffle in the garage to stir up some excitement. In this corner, Kevin Harvick. In this corner, Carl Edwards. Ring, ding, daddy!
We need something like this every now and then to make sure these drivers actually have a pulse. I did have to read this article twice to make sure that I was reading it correctly. Harvick shoved Edwards on to his No. 33, Nationwide car? Harvick shoved Edwards? Huh?
I didn't think there was a driver out there that could push and shove King Kong around. Let's face it folks, he's buff.
Almost exactly one year ago Edwards had a confrontation with his teammate Matt Kenseth. Remember?
Edwards is a scary dude, period. He's a clean-cut version of a bully. I'd almost prefer a Tony Stewart over him. At least with Stewart, you know what you're getting all the time. Edwards just snaps.
I would have loved to have had front-row seats to see Harvick shoving Edwards around. Further, it must have been a hilarious sight to see Harvick's motor-home driver putting Edwards in a headlock.
I think Harvick is lucky the bus driver got a hold Edwards before Edwards got a hold of Harvick. Carl would have crushed him.
Reminds me of the the good ol days with the Allison’s
No one has said what started it. Harvick made a wise comment about Carl during a TV interview. Carl then left a note with Harvick's pilot thanking him for the snide comment. It should have been left at that. Why Carl went for more argueing remains to be known. Kenseth let it go, a year ago and on Sunday. Jr. made a comment about drivers who don't know how to draft, shouldn't, referring to Carl. Every week there are feuds and no one escapes looking foolish during the year. Jenn: when has Edwards snapped? I can't wait to hear more reasons why you dislike him so. Should be interesting.
Edwards has snapped more than once. He pulled a Cole-Trickle-give-me-four-tires-so-I-can-go-hit-him on Jr once. He threatend Kenseth last year. I agree with you Jen. I would take someone predictable over someone like Edwards any day. Anyone want to take a bet on steroids? We'll find out next year.
The Biffle/Harvick feud was great. The camera trained on Harvick as he came across the track after the race. The only person who did not see him coming was Biffle. Harvick picked him up against the race car. I think that he got suspended for that?
I've listened to some of the comments on the Edwards/Harvick feud and it appears that most of you rather have an upfront, outspoken, know where he comes from, driver like Harvick than a goody two shoes, sweet talking, guy like Edwards. I disagree. I rather have a guy who is professional, sincerely trying to make peace by approaching another individual to discuss the disagreement. The "dark side" of Carl Edwards doesn't exist, folks. He is what he is. He appears to be such a happy fellow during interviews, but shouldn't be put down because he wants to defend himself or apologize for mistakes, such as the drating, for the incident at Talladeaga. He has not been involved in any more, probably less, confrontations than any of the other drivers. Most drivers leave the race of last week with a good attitude of accepting apologies and explanations. Kenseth's comment on this incident illustrates that most of the drivers leave disagreements and mistakes behind and start anew with the current race. Can't we do that, too?
On that note, I will choose Kyle as the winner of the cup race at Lowe's.
In my racing days, If you got into something with another driver. You better be able to finish what you started, because no one else was going to hold you back.
In today's sanitized NA$CAR you can shoot off your mouth, bluff, & bluster. Knowing it will come to nothing.
Don't forget, Harvick is the same guy who blindsided another driver in victory lane. He's all smirk, & mouth.
Trust me, he really wants no part of Cousin Carl, if he knew he had to back it up.
Jen- Obviously you dont know much about the history of NASCAR racing. Fights and disagreements happen all the time. Carl Edwards have given us some great racing this year. So he shows his emotions- whats the big deal- get over it. Harvick has always had a mouth on him and is known for his childish acts. All the information you got was received by Harvick's team- how bias is that???
Carl reminds me of the good ole days of Yarborough, Allisons, Baker and Petty. Thanks Carl Edwards for making racing exciting!!!!
I don't suppose Kevin would be too scared of Carl when he's got a garage full of guys to back him up!!! I think Edwards was the guy that wasn't too scared to go in there knowing he was all alone if things got heated. And I can't believe all these people saying things "Edwards is a scary dude" and "Want to take a bet on steroids". Have none of you people ever lost your temper and maybe done something you wished you hadn't later? You must be awfully perfect if you haven't!!! And yes we will find out about the steroids next year however I personally wouldn't waste my time working out and being a physical fitness/health freak if I could just take steroids to get the same results. Someone needs to tell Edwards this!!!!
I'm not sure what you base your opinions when it comes to who can whip whos'butt. However, being buff and muscle bound, has absolutely nothing to do with knowing how to fight. I'll take the guy who's had the most fights, and in this case thats Harvick
The same passion that drives Nascar drives this blog. Everyone wants to back up their driver. At the end of the day, nobody knows who "won" and nobody cares, just so long as these things happen from time to time. It makes it exciting.
I've seen Harvick scuffle with other drivers. I have seen Edwards threaten some. I still put my money on Harvick.
The steroids crack was a joke, as if I need to mention it. And if I lose my temper, there are not cameras around to catch the action. So if these guys are going to fight over something stupid, they should at least make it a good one.
At least Carl can admit when he's made a mistake. Harvick has wrecked more people with it being "their fault" than any one else out there. Happy is a classless mouthpiece.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
