I love road courses. If you've been reading this blog all along, you know that I especially like watching Boris Said drive a road course. I mean, who doesn't actually? He never wins, but I can't help but root for the underdog. He's not my pick though. Robby Gordon's another fantastic road course driver. He's not my pick either. Then there's Jeff Gordon... there's just so many to keep an eye on.
I think this weekend I am going to go with Tony Stewart for the win. He's won four out of the last six races here. He needs a win. He's hungry for it. And so am I. If he wins, I win. He and I will break our losing streak of 0-for-21. Go Tony Go!
Our? Sorry to point this out, Jen, but it is YOUR losing streak. Some of us have done a little better. All kidding aside. I think I will go with Tony also. He needs a win.
From Jen: Our, as in Me and Tony. He's on a losing streak also. That's what I meant. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Tony.

I am picking Tony, too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kyle take it though. Because they are so far ahead in the points, his crew chief used last week as an opportunity to try some different stuff with the car in preparation for the Chase.I would love to see a two car race between Rowdy and Smoke.
That anonymous comment was mine. I didn't realize I hadn't typed my name in. Sorry I misunderstood your comment, Jen. I was only kidding you, though.
From Jen: Thanks for letting us know it was your comment. I figured whoever it was must have been kidding. I wouldn't want to drag anyone else into my losing streak!!! ;)

MsBoogity, it is ironic that you posted your earlier message and then picked Tony. Now it IS your losing streak too! At least for this weekend.
I like Kyle for this weekend. I think he has used up most of his reserve points and is ready to win agin.
son of racefan: we will see. hopefully tony will come through for us.

Darn. I don't know why my user name isn't in there like everyone else. The last comment was from MsBoogity.

I like Tony's chances this weekend as well, Ms. Boogity. It's just that, well, he has the cards stacked against him now, if you catch what I am saying.
As for your name, the blank is now your name. You are "The Blogger Formerly Known As Ms.Boggity"
Ms. Boogity is back! So, where does everybody stand for today? Three of us are picking Tony and son of racefan isn't committing?

son of racefan picked Kyle.
Congrats to Ambrose for winning yesterday. He's come so close a couple of times on road courses.
And speaking of Nationwide, now that the race in Mexico is out, where should Nascar put that open date? I would love to see one back at Rockingham. That was good racing.
I think maybe son of racefan is right on with picking Kyle. He hasn't been doing too well and he will be HUNGRY to be in the spotlight today. He also has yesterday's race under his belt for experience. Can I change my prediction, folks?

Kyle has only not done well because they have been playing with different setups on the car because of his point lead. Also, Pocono was a schooling trip to try to get him better on the flat tracks. He'll be back. I'll be he's got more wins coming before the Chase.
Better stay where you're at, MsBoogity, Kyle may have a problem with the car. First they said yes, then they said no, so we'll have to wait and see.
Jeff Gordon says the 18 team is not as strong as it was. I think he is wishful thinking and he is in for a surprise.
I wish picking Kyle was based on my keen Nascar sense, but picking anyone but that kid is a bad choice. As for Gordon's comment, he might want to look in the mirror. Road courses are his thing....what happened?

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
