It's a sellout at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Today's race is a sellout. As a matter of fact, it has been 27 Cup race sellouts here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. There's standing room only on the backstretch. Despite the overcast and uncertainty of the weather, fans are rolling in and enjoying some of the pre-race festivities.

A young girl gets to sign her name to the start/finish line.
The band Kansas will be jamming here in a little while to entertain the fans while we wait for the start of the race.
Here are a few more views from this morning...

Teams wait for the gates to open so they can get to the garage.

Robby Gordon's car is getting decaled.

All for now. I'm going to grab some lunch and get ready for the start of the race.

From Jen: Just letting you know what I was told. All the tickets were sold.

27 straight years? That's pretty good considering the track only opened in 1990 and has only had a spot on the Sprint Cup schedule since 1993 (18 years ago).
From Jen: whoops, that should have been 27 straight Cup races, not years. My bad.

Someone told you a fib if they said that was a sell-out...probably should have told all those people that paid $100/ticket to sit down at least ones for the photo op...if that was a sell out then it was a sell-out at my church this morning too!

It may have been a sell out but I have it on good authority that some people had $90 tickets for 25 bucks a piece. Any way the gamble that Smoke took was awful. Why didnt Zippy look at the radar. The storm was headed straight for the track. I would have just left him out during the caution.

Louden normally does sell out, but on raceday. That is the main reason they will keep both races for now. That will probably go out the window when Smith adds more seating.
Empty seats don't mean a thing. Tickets were sold out, but for whatever reason, there are always people who don't go. A girl I talked to won 4 tickets from a radio station contest and couldn't find 2 more people to go with her and her boyfriend. People also had extra tickets they were trying to sell in the parking lot. If I can't go, I have given my tickets away before.
