I'm heading down to racing country...
There's been quite a bit of feedback on the last blog entry and so far the vast majority of folks that have commented feel the No. 3 should be retired from racing. I just don't see what the big deal is there.
Personally, I will enjoy watching Austin Dillon race the no. 3 car for Andy Santerre Motorsports. It's not like that No. 3 car is going to be "in your face" all the time in the Camping World East Series...jeez. It's a fairly short season. Here's the broadcast schedule.
I'm leaving on a jetplane, I don't know when I'll be back again... I'm flying out on Friday and heading down to North Carolina. Not to attend a race, or anything to do with racing actually. I'm heading down there for my yearly visit to see my BFF. Gonna play a little, eat a lot and relax. I can't wait. I may drop a line while I'm down there. We will see.
** Folks, there have been issues when trying to post comments. I am sorry. We are aware of it. Please E-mail me when it happens so I can relay it to the powers that be.
I'll be back tomorrow with my picks for Martinsville.

If you're in the Mooresville area, visit some of the race shops. They're interesting. RCR has one of the best but that's in Welcome,NC. Chocolate Myers from Dale Senior's old race crew is museum curator.

Jason, Here's the short answer...I do not know. I'll try to find out for you though.

No news as yet and may not be, MsBoogity. Like I said, it was a rumor. It would be kind of nice to have something interesting happen. This has been a long boring week for Nascar news.
Be sure to post your Martinsville picks so I can see who might be good for my fantasy leagues.
Enjoy the nice weather, Jen. I can't wait for the end of April and my trip to Talladega.

I'm heading west Wed. But, I will venture a prediction for Martinsville. Going out on a limb. Kahne will win. JR., Gordon, Edwards, and Bowyer will be in the top five. Smoke, Newman, Harvick, Johnson will all place in the top ten.

I gotta go with the JGR teams this time for sure. Denny is good on the shorter tracks, Stewart has the best average, and Kyle is just phenomenal no matter where he goes.
Jr may be up there, but I expect his win will come at a bigger track. I think picking Bowyer, Newman or Kahne is too risky.

We'll see. I felt brave when I made these picks. It makes the race fun. Good luck with Kyle.

Kahne doesn't have what it takes to drive Martinsville for a win. Guys like Harvick, Stewart, and Gordon are patiently aggressive, knowing how to stay big picture racing while not being held up by slow cars. And Junior is always good there. I expect to see Tony finally get his win, with Harvick in the top five. Kyle Busch, if his jinx is over, will be there. I am seeing a lot of redundancy here with the picks. Out of 43 drivers, we only pick out of the top twelve. Kinda makes it easy to pick a solid top five.

Looks like I didn't have to post a "picks" entry for all of you, you have thrown your picks out there... well, I'm going with Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the win this weekend.
I will be blogging next week as my trip got canceled unexpectedly. I will post my thoughts on the race on Monday.

Well, the qualifying looked good. Who would have thought Almirola? I gotta go make my fantasy picks now.
Where are you all-DW, Sal,Jacko etc? Give us your guesses for the win.

An unnamed Toyota team stole a sway bar from a Roush team. It has been returned, but Jack is considering going public with the whole story. That may be the secret that is supposed to come out about Stewart not that he is the one that took the part to start with.

You never know, do you? Good luck, racefan, even though your picks don't seem to be successful. Looking forward too the race tomorrow.

Racefan picks from the heart, not the numbers. Speaking of heart, Almirola has got to be holding a grudge against Gibbs racing. He's trying to prove that they lost a good driver with their Busch series antics last year. That kid had good runs until they took him out of the car and replaced him with Hamlin. He kind of fizzled after that.

It turns out to be Mikey's Toyota team that took the part.
Pick from the heart and not successful? Are you both saying Gibb's teams won't be there at the end at Martinsville? An FYI, I also put J Gordon (and THAT did not come from the heart), Biffle and Burton in my picks, so there.

I finally watched the truck race last night Racefan. I am not so certain that the Gibbs cars WILL be there at the end if that was any prediction!

If I chose with my heart I would pick JR, but it is not his time right now. My heart also likes Edwards.I chose Kahne to win because I think he deserves it. I go with the underdog when I am undecided. I think the Gibbs team currently suffers the same bad luck. Lets talk after the race. I think there will be some surprises today.
