Couple of quick things

Kenny Wallace.jpg

Kenny Wallace will again be the fill-in driver for Kyle Petty in Saturday night's race at Bristol Motor Speeday. Petty was so mad at his misfortune at Watkins Glen that he punched a door inside his hauler and broke his hand.

Sterling Marlin will try to qualify the No. 78, Furniture Row car at Bristol.

Let's hope that the weather doesn't play a roll in qualifying.

I am still waiting on the announcement from DEI on who will be driving the No. 8 car in 2008. A decision could be announced by the end of the week. Who do you think it will be?

It hasn't been announced yet which car number Junior will be driving.
(I think I'd like to see him drive the 6.7)

I don't understand why Kyle Petty punched his hauler. His car has wreaked before. Caught on fire before. He actually sat out some races and broadcasted-what's so important at the Glen. Did he think he could win it? Gordon thought he could win it and was, for awhile.
Doesn't matter what number Jr has, the only thing that matters is who his sponser is. What color shirt is my brother going to have to buy. Unless...... He wants to go with the big orange machine.

I would like to see Mark Martin in the 8 car with his cars engines.
Personally I think that NASCAR should add a race to the season where they have a lottery system and drive another competitors car. Just one race-no points. Just money.

Toss up for Bristol, could be just about anyone. Anyone who stays away from Montoya and maybe Harvick...... My picks are Smoke or Kennseth, or one of the Busch boys.
I see bad luck with Jeffery and so-so for Jimmie Johnson. Thats just what I see. Don't shoot the messenger. I got jr in top 10, but with a kurt Busch top 5 or win, it will be concieveable that Jr will not make chase.

Kyle Petty wants to turn the light switch on and off about being a competitive race car driver. After watching him week in and week out barely making the top 35 in points, he punches his door at Watkins Glen for wrecking?? That does not make cents. I think he should step out of the car and put someone worthwhile in the #45 so Bobby can finally have a teammate that will help him out in the #43.

As for DEI, you would after Theresa let Jr. walk away she would at least want to plug the gap with an up and coming talent like J.J. Yeley, but she will most likely cut corners and let Regan Smith take over the #8. Theresa is inadequate and if wasn't for Truex, she would be going no where fast.

On to Earnhardt, I could care less about what number he drives so long as he is as competitive as Jimmie and Gordon every week.

You know the wheels are still smoking as I write this. Smoke 4th, JR 5th and Kurt Busch 6th. The bad luck befalls- 48 car 22nd and Gordon 19th. Kenneth finishes somewhere around 37th. Going to be interesting getting these last few races over with.

The little lady and I were doing some figuring. Add Montoyas number together, 4+2 and you get 6 on both doors and roof. 666. One car is Havoline and oil comes from where? Underground ,the home of the devil. On the front of that car is a pentigram looking star. The other car is the Big Red car.
Red. Evil, I tell ya-just plain evil.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
