Picks for the Glen

I’m going to go with the obvious pick this week, Robby Gordon. And you should, too. After all, he WILL turn anyone and everyone that is in his way to get to the win.

All right, all right, I’m done beating up Robby Gordon this week.

Seriously, I’m going to go with Boris Said. I like him at a road course. I always have. I have said it before and I will say it again, he is bound to get lucky one of these times.

Who do you think will win?

Juan Pablo Montoya has twice climbed into a stock car this year- Mexico & Sonoma- and has dealt a real lesson to the NASCAR regulars. I mean, not even close.

Hard to believe he doesn't dominate them agian. We always heard the Formula One guys were a whole two levels better than the NASCAR regulars on the road courses- hard to disagree based on the actual evidence.

Boris Said? Quite an obvious pick.

With that said... so is Jeff Gordon. No. 24 will prevail.

17 all the way!

Smoke should just stay home and play with his (pet) monkey.

Since qualifying was a wash out and owner points is a factor. I am going with Tony Stewart. Of course, that means something or someone has to take out Gordon who is starting up front. I've got Kenseth in a spin by lap 20- putting him 30th by lap 25. Watch out for Kurt Busch, he is actually smiling once again- time for him to do something dumb and mess with what ever fans he has.

Boris Said is one wierd looking dude. He is like Smokes monkey and bozo the clown wrapped into one. Look at Jennifer's picture, then go to McDonalds for a burger.

There are too many Gordons.
Wonder what the official juice of NASCAR is, I mean weve got beer and sports drink. What about juice?

Juice?
Lorne Wallace says "Whatever, you get near me ,I'll put you in the wall"Boris Said has that look like he just stole something. 20 car wins it, everyone better just watch out. Even a top five puts him in contention.

Nascar will be watching Robby like a Mother Bear watching her cub...one wrong move...and hes in the back of the field.

Frank,
I thought we were done with the Pablo dominance thing. Didnt we put that to rest after the last road race. Again Juan ran in the 15 something position for most of the race. Im not even going to get into the whole bone head move he pulled trying to block the #1 car. Jaun, very proficient at the road races, yes , dominating,No
Hey Lorne Wallace versus Jaun who takes out who first?

Bone head move? He was BLOCKING like all drivers do. Truex wrecked him...plain and simple. If anyone made a bone-head move, it was Truex.

You sound a little like Harvick now, you should re-examine the replay before you make these allegations. Montoya clearly pulled out to block Truex(I'm glad we both agree on that), then you can clearly see Truex get on the brakes (hard enough to get his car loose)to try to avoid hitting the 42. Truex is a good enough driver to get his own car through the corner, but to get the 42 through the corner as well. There's only two guys good enough to drive two cars through the corner at the same time, Big E, and Lorne Wallace.
Speaking of replays, I dont think this malay was the first altercation that Jaun had on sunday. Must be that every other driver on the track is not quite up to Montoyas dominating abilities.

You guys are mean, oh yeah I think Gordons road course record is better than both Earnhardts put together, I dont have the stats in front of me so I may be wrong and Jennifer how dare you blame anything on someone even affiliated with an Earnhardt - you should know that if big E did it it was hard racing if Jeff or say Juan do it its dirty racing. LOL

I tell ya ,I tell ya. Lorne Wallace could take all the Truex, Montoyas and Buschs. By 2017, Lorne and Smoke are going to be teammates, burning up the tracks.

Sal- 10 years from now, Tony Stewart will probably be an owner of a race team. Hopefully by then, people will truly understand how greatly under appreciated he truly is.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
