What a whiner

Even when he wins, he manages to be a punk to the media. I am talking about Tony Stewart who pulled off a win at the Brickyard, for his second victory in a row.

Not only did he swear (which I don't believe was a slip of the tongue), he also moaned AGAIN about the media talking with him about him climbing the fence. That is just so typical of him. I hope NASCAR hits his pocket in a big way, or better yet, docks him some points.

He just makes it really hard for me to continue to like him when he always verbally throws up while being interviewed. He should just hand out narrow topics that can be discussed with him after the race so that racing fans don't have to listen to him be a complete jerk. uugh.

I don't believe for a second that that was a congratulatory love tap from Kevin Harvick after the completion of the race. Harvick got called to the hauler to talk about it afterwards. I doubt he wil be penalized for it though.

Ward Burton had a great finish. I was glad to see that. And what about Juan Pablo Montoya? Just fabulous. Here are the unofficial results.

I disagree, the media is constantly asking him the SAME question after every win about climbing the wall, give me a break! As a new fan, I appreciate his passion about racing.

Tony rules!

I'm with you, Staci. That was awesome yesterday. Not condoning the swearing, but love the fact that Tony has put some personality back in Nascar. That is pure Earnhardt Sr style. Whether he does something stupid or smart, he'll give you something to watch. Taking his hands off the wheel to get a drink of water while driving 200 mph was cool and the "Here, kitty, kitty" was priceless.

We Stewart fans don't care what he gets fined. He can't be hurt now;he has momentum!!! And we're going to be happy all week.

BTW, our own Ricky Craven picked Stewart and Montoya to come out on top when asked to choose the most likely winners of the race for ESPN. How about that? I will be checking Craven's choices next week before I make my fantasy picks.

Amen, Sister! Tony Stewart has been a big whinebag as long as I've been watching NASCAR. Personally, I hope we've seen the LAST climbing of the wall for a while!

But I watched parts of the race last weekend and thought it was interesting. I do like Tony Stewart, I think he is cocky, smart, and fun to watch. For the non race fan it makes it more interesting than sleeping and hoping for a major crash.

There is no doubt Tony is a Superstar behind the the wheel he can drive anything. I never cared for him until I had the experience of being at Indy in 2005 when he won his first Cup race there it was quite impressive to witness that live. The sport wouldn't be the same without personalities like that.

Wooo Hooo!!!! 14th for the 4 car feels like a win to me and all other long suffering Ward fans. Hopefully they will use the same car next week at Pocono and get similar results. To run that good with only a one car team and no sponsor is absolutely fantastic. Just think what this team could do with some bucks.

To hell with the media, I'm with Tony on this one . Who cares if he climbed the fence. We all saw it, why talk about it. Is it because he is not thin like Johnson or Jr? Is the media playing on weight? Is the media descriminating because the fan favorites Johnson and Jr blew up and did not have much to say.

WARD BURTON - what a race!!! We, the Ward fans saw his great race even though the TV announcers didn't seem to. Go Ward.........................Tony is a BIG whiner. He should try being happy that the press wants to talk with him instead of complaining about the questions!

Ward who? I never heard his name mentioned hardly at all. Where did he finish. Well he beat Johnson, anyways. The person we should be impressed with is Reed Sorenson.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
