Someone to watch this weekend…

As reported by Hendrick Motorsports, a new up and comer, Landon Cassill will make his debut NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, driving the No. 24 car owned by Hendrick Motorsports.

He just turned 18 on July 7. This will be his fourth race with Hendrick. He has competed in two NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series and one ARCA Series show. In the Busch East Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway last month, he finished fourth.

Cassill, one of 16 drivers to participate in the 2006 GM Racing Development competition, signed with Hendrick Motorsports in December.

Has anyone watched him race? Or is there anyone you have been watching that you feel is going to make it to the big time?

Was anyone following Aaron Fike before he got busted with drugs? Do you think the punishment was strong enough? Not strong enough?
Just curious.

Although I have never seen Landon race in person, I have been hearing about his talents for years. It was always humorous that he was racing at speeds faster than most of us travel way before he could legally drive here in Iowa. Go Landon!

I think Jr's new driver, Brad Keselowski (?),is going to make some noise.

Landon couldn't dominate at his home track when they had less than 10 cars racing there. His daddy's money has gotten him this far, don't expect much from.

Lorne Wallace will put both of those guys in the wall. He could become the youngest driver in NASCAR history. Greater than sliced bread.

Im with Sal, When the conversation turns to Cassill or Keselowski, it ends with Wallace putting them in the wall.

I once saw Lorne walking around the garage and I have actually seen Smoke step back to get out of his way. Lorne Wallace is for real!

Bobby Santos III got a 3rd last weekend at Remax Series in Kentucky
He'll be racing at Beechridge in 2 weeks with the Nema Midgets Asc. Just putting the word out. Keep an eye on this kid. His next Busch Race is in Richmond, VA on 9/07/07.

Lorne will put Santos in the wall also. He is the total package. Look at the intensity in his eyes. He may be in open wheels now, but just you wait. Smoke, Gordon, Johnson.... Your all going into the wall.

Yes he did. He did a great job for his first Busch race. I think he will be one to watch going forward.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
