Don't like Jr going to Hendricks. Would be happier if he joined the Gibbs team.

Jenny,

I heard he was going to Joe Gibbs racing with VISA as a sponsor making Fifty Million Dollars for the first year!

The rumor is Busch wants out of his contract which was good till the end of the 08 season. That’s how they think Jr can get in. Why would Rowdy Busch want out of a car that he has won races in and is owned by the most dominant team in NASCAR? I think is all rumor.
So if JuneBug goes to Hendricks and starts winning races, will people still BOO and be sick of seeing the Hendricks team winning?? Hmmmm
I know little brother Mikey has room for Jr. He’d look good in a Toyota. They could go back to doing commercials together!

Dale Jr. going to Hendricks would be like David Ortiz going to the Yankees.

Dale Jr. is like David fighting Goliath (Hendricks). If he joins them then Nascar will lose big time. I for one will no longer cheer for him (but will not boo). I have a fire planned for all his stuff I own if he indeed goes to the Hendricks team and works for a convicted felon and known cheater.

Nascar is becoming a joke.

Lets face it, to be a champion in Nascar you need 2 things(well not really, but i dont have all day)DESIRE and MONEY. JR obviously has desire, he could spend the rest of his life sitting on his couch playing simulated race games and reading blogs filled with disgruntled fans if he wanted. Hendricks obvisouly has money and the desire to put it into his race teams. Where does Theresa put her money. Jr sees the potential to win championships at HMS. Lets stop to think where the last handfull of championships went. Rousch and Hendricks, Money and Desire.
As for Rowdy, somebody isnt playing well together if he wants to leave. I seem to recall big brother leaving a,race winning, championship winning, dominating, team not so long ago.
Till next time, JR justracethecar
see you on the next lap.

Not looking forward to Jr racing with Hendricks!! But I guess he wants to win and who is winning most of the races now? I will still root for him because I am a devoted fan but its not going to be the same thats for sure.

Hendrick motor sports is making a poor decision as is Jr. He can't compete with the 24 and 48.

he can compete and beat the 24 and 48, he already has with a lesser organization. Not to mention that Kyle Busch has 4 wins with the 5 team competing against the 24 and 48. Jr will look good hoisting the CUP above his head.
MONEY+DESIRE=CHAMPIONSHIP

This posting will remain up until the announcement today. There seems to be a lot of good discussion...

I will update the entry as soon as word is out, which team he will be going to.

If you are set up with email notification, you will get an email from me saying the update is ready as soon as it's posted. If not, just watch for the update to be immediately after the announcement.

I called Mikey to see if he wanted to play a round of golf today and he told me "he had a VERY important meeting at the race shop today at 11am!"

We should cheer for the driver we love because of their driving ability and personality on and off the track not because of what team they race for...I am a Jr fan and will remain so regardless of who he races for and hope he makes the decision that will help him get into a good car so he can start winning races again

Mikey's announcement is probably about Terry LaBonte taking over the 55 car.

Don't burn your stuff, dale3fan. Sell it. It'll be worth a couple of bucks if Jr goes to the 5 car.

Word is that Jr was offered the ride when he stepped into the car after Kyle walked off.

Life has a degree of serendipity to it. I am sure Jr. would have preferred Gibbs- but that would have required walking away from what I am sure is a crazy lucrative racing & personal deal with Budweiser- a deal well into the eight figures for him personally.

Conversely, Hendricks has a got a spot with the all but certain departure of #5. Serendipity. If he had to go Chevy....

The best part is that we will finally know one way or the other about Jr. There are NO excuses now for him Junior fans. None. Your guy has got to win mulitple races, make the Chase, and contends for a championship- almost every single year- or we know for sure he isn't in his father, Stewart's, Kennseth's, Kurt Busch's, Johnson's and Gordon's League.

You whiners crack me up! If it was jr. winning all the races you wouldn't be complaining about NASCAR at all.

Get a life and move on, the Intimidator would be laughing at you as well. Records have always been made to be broken.

Gordon and Johnson win consistently because they are VERY good.

GO JR - who cares who he drives for - if your a true fan of his!!??
Maybe Jeffy will stop whining if Jr bump drafts him.
Jr could teach these two whiners a few things. You don't hear Jr complaining, even when he can't finish! One of thos Bozo's wins and still whines.

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
