Pocono Race Thoughts

I started writing this entry yesterday. I had to revise it so many times that I gave up until this morning. To say that I am disappointed in yesterday's race is an understatement.

First, I hate it when there is bad weather and a driver wins on rain delay. Second, I am just grumpy that Jeff Gordon won, yet again.

There were so many other drivers that I think deserved the win, other than Gordon. To name a few: RYAN NEWMAN (my pick to win the race and second place finisher), Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart and possible Martin Truex Jr.

Am I alone? Does anyone else feel this way?

Here are the unofficial results of yesterday's race at Pocono.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the race....

Hey Jenn I understand what your saying and my husband said the same thing you did. You have to ask the question if this was your favorite driver would you feel the same way? It would be nice to see Jr. or Stewart in the winner circle also, as for the winning under a rain delay your right that did suck Newman was almost there. But that's Nascar for you. Can't wait until next week!!

How exactly is Gordon undeserving?

I only say that because he did not have the most dominant car and he still comes out smelling like a rose.

hey, lets add to the WWE conspiracy.(remember Stewarts quote a while back?) Isn't it funny that Johnson can run around the whole track blowing debris everywhere, and no caution, Ryan Newman is about ready to blow by Gordon, like Mark Martin going by his pitstall, and there's the caution.
I don't care either way, I was pulling for Truex(not possibly Truex, like the hostess suggested, but a legitamate win contender TRUEX).
Just wanted to stir the pot a little.
Until next time go fast turn left.
PS Can she say SUCKED in this forum.

That's just like Nascar. Try to fool us into thinking they are trying to have exciting finishes and then shutting one down because they didn't want a certain driver to possibly win.

They should have let them race back to the line and then thrown the caution. Might not have made any difference in the outcome but it would have been more fair to Newman to have the chance to try.

I said way back that Vince McMann the owner of the WWF was involved with NASCAR before Tony Stewart did. How long before Hulk Hogan sponsors a car?? Hendricks is putting some sweet hot rods under them there boys and if Smoke or Jr wants a slice of the pie, then their car owners need to step it up. Don’t hate the players…hate game (NASCAR) Back in my day I would have raced Richard Petty RAIN or shine!! And if I could beat him, then I’d take him out.
I got to drive Mikey to the Napa store!
Boogitie Boogitie!!

About this blog:
I am hopeful that this will be a place where people can air their two cents' worth about a race, catch up on the gossip and share their opinions on the rules and regulations of NASCAR. I have always felt that there has been a need for such a place in Maine and that this blog helps to fill the void.
