The Sunrise Herald WEATHER WATCHERS report.

allcloud.gif From Bill in ROCKLAND: Grayish overhead at 5:30 a.m. here in Rockland, but a bright blue patch off to the west. No idea what's behind that. Still breezy and 44 degrees.

sunnywindy.gifFrom Mark in BRUNSWICK: Despite the bright cloudless skies, it is cold this morning with 43 degrees. Last night's gale however, has subside to a slight breeze.

sunnywindy.gif From Shawn in YARMOUTH: I feel like I am stuck in the movie Groundhog Day. Looking out my window this morning, it is identical to yesterday. 45 degrees, clear blue sky, light wind...hmmm..do I have to repeat Monday? And it's a full moon too!

sunnywindy.gifFrom Karen in STEEP FALLS: Another gorgeous day on tap!! My parents are here from Southern California and have been enjoying all the spring flowers. It's 50 degrees at 7:30 a.m. and it is a bit breezy. It is a bright, sunny morning though. Happy Tuesday!

ON THE ROAD:

• Work continues through the week during the overnight hours in the vicinity of the exit 51 off-ramp and toll plaza in Gardiner. This work will be done nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. During this time, the ramp will remain open and there will be single lane traffic exiting the toll plaza area.

Crews will continue the milling and paving procedure in one lane until the lane is complete. During this period, there will be single lane traffic from the Route 126 overpass to just beyond the Exit 49 off-ramp during day and night. Currently crews are scheduled to work in the left lane. Once complete, the lane will be reopened to traffic and the other lane will be closed to conduct similar work.

Paving, however, is contingent upon night temperatures above 50 degrees and favorable weather conditions. And unfavorable conditions could make the paving take longer.

Overall, drivers are advised that there will be several crews working simultaneously on several projects this week and should be aware of changing traffic patterns, slow-moving construction vehicles and construction personnel.

Speed limits will be reduced to 55 mph for the safety of the public as well as workers. The public is asked to curtail all cell phone use and concentrate on travel through this work zone.

ON THE OCEAN:

Maine State Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman in Gray as a murder-suicide. The identities of the two, found inside a home on Hemlock Lane Monday night, are not being released until later this morning, according to state police spokesman Steve McCausland.

The deaths are being classified as a case of domestic violence.

Police were called to the home to investigate after a day care provider alerted them that the woman had not picked up her children.

Both bodies were found in an upstairs bedroom of the home. Police investigators say the man shot the woman and then himself with a handgun.

A suicide note written by the man was found in the downstairs kitchen, according to police.

TD Banknorth says it has notified New Hampshire customers that their Visa debit or credit cards have been compromised, most likely because of the Hannaford Brothers Supermarkets security breach.

Bank spokeswoman Jennifer Carlson says the bank noticed the fraud cases. She said a privacy policy prevented her from saying how many customers were involved.

TD Banknorth says instead of having a mass cancellation and reissuing its Visa debit and credit cards, it's relying on fraud-detection computer programs which it says can monitor for fraud and even decline transactions as they are being made.

In March, Hannaford announced that a security breach had compromised more than four million customer card numbers. (AP)
