South Portland firefighters, are at a two-story residential building on Southwell Avenue. All hands have been called to respond.

IN THE WEATHER
At
9 a.m., it was 26 degrees and sunny in downtown Portland.
It's been awhile since I've been able to use that little sun to forecast the weather.
But, indeed, everybody gets a little bit of it today, all day with temperatures well above freezing, maybe into the low 40s. Could be a whole lot of melting going on, which also means there could be some flooding. Clear storm drains if you can to help relieve the strain.
SCHOOL ALERTS:
• Attention Sacopee Valley High School students: Your vacation is over. Classes resume at the school today after a few days off. The school was shut due to a roof in the gymnasium that collapsed under the weight of snow and, in some parts, 6 inches of ice.
• Lebanon Elementary School, however, is still closed due to the same problem. That building will remain closed indefinitely while repairs are made. Students there will be relocated to other schools.
ON THE OCEAN:
A much tamer day on Casco Bay than yesterday, where gusts of up to 35 knots were reported. Today a westerly wind blows 5 to 10 knots with 2 to 4 foot seas.
High tide in Portland at 9:50 a.m. then again at 10:18 p.m. Low tide expected at 4:06 p.m.
ON THE ROAD:
• North and southbound lane closures are expected on the Maine Turnpike today for road repairs between mile 38 in Saco and mile 53 in Falmouth.
• A rollover on Route 202 in Gray reminds us that the roads are slick due to overnight freezing temps and standing water. The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m. and is at the intersection of Route 202 and Lawrence Road. There were no injuries. But dispatchers in Gray say the road is slippery. It's probably true elsewhere, too. Take care.

GOT A SNOWY ROOF THAT NEEDS CLEANING? Call John Frankenfield.
The former Skowhegan lawyer, who was convicted of stealing from clients, was told by Justice Thomas Delahanty II yesterday to get a job, even if it means shoveling snow off roofs. "There are a lot of roofs out there to be shoveled," he told Frankenfield.
Frankenfield appeared before a judge in Auburn after being accused of violating a condition of probation. The judge told him to report back next month with a plan for paying back $219,000 in court-ordered restitution. So far, Frankenfield has paid back just $50.
Frankenfield served about two years in prison after being convicted of skimming assets from his grandfather's estate. He also pleaded guilty to stealing $55,000 from clients.

BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME. None of the tickets sold for the Powerball game Wednesday night matched all six numbers drawn, which were:
10-15-16-23-31 with a Powerball of 5 and a Power Play of 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $175.2 million jackpot. The prize goes to an estimated $200 million for Saturday.
Tickets that match the first five numbers, but miss the Powerball, win $200,000 each, and there were 11 of those. They were sold in: Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Hampshire (Ooooo! Check your ticket, Mainers who buy them in N.H.), Oregon, Pennsylvania (two), South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
There was one Power Play Match 5 winner in Idaho.
HE CAN'T ORDER A DRINK, BUT DEVAN M. LEMAR of Randolph (Kennebec County) allegedly deals cocaine.
Police arrested the 19-year-old on Friday and charged him with unlawful trafficking in cocaine. Lemar was arrested after police searched his vehicle, which was in a restaurant’s parking lot in Randolph.
According to a news release from Kennebec County Sheriff Randall Liberty, deputies observed what they believed was a drug transaction in the lot. Liberty said Lemar had been the target of an investigation into cocaine distribution in the southern Kennebec County area.
Lemar attempted to drive away and deputies used a Taser on him after he tried to pull a knife, Liberty said.
The sheriff said deputies found 26 grams of cocaine under the driver’s seat, and he estimated the value at $2,600.
Lemar was taken to the Kennebec County jail and was later released on $2,500 bail.
“The cocaine, in combination with the knife, makes this a very serious event,” Liberty said.
