Bowdoin departed Castine on Thursday, 5/29/08, around 12:30 pm with many family, friends, MMA staff and Castine community members on dock to send them off.
They expect to make landfall in St. John's, Newfoundland tomorrow, 6/4/08, around 1700 (5:00 pm). This is a day earlier than their itinerary forecast.

This is their 6th day at sea and all has been going very well. They have seen about 1/2 dozen whales, many different kinds of birds, and a lot of white-sided (common) dolphins swimming alongside.
Communications are daily, but brief, so once they are at St. John's and able to use email and cell phones, we will have more details to share so check back!
