James van Riemsdyk, Hockey East's leading scorer, will return to New Hampshire after playing for Team USA at the World Junior Championships, but here's a story from the Philadelphia Daily News about van Riemsdyk's decision to return to UNH for his sophomore year. Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren believes that van Riemsdyk was ready to turn pro after last year, but the UNH forward said he'll consider that option at a later date.
"It is something that after this season is over, we will all sit down and look at," van Riemsdyk said at the World Juniors. "It was definitely the right move coming back to UNH this year, I wasn't ready [for the NHL]. It has given me a lot of confidence.
"I will go back to the Flyers and see how I fit, and we will go from there."
