I'll take sunshine...
Our world is whitewashed these days, from street to sky. Is it any wonder we might crave color... say neon yellow heels?
Who cares that they’ll sit in our closet for months? We know how they’ll look with black tights and a pencil skirt when we lose the boots, or bare legs and a summery dress when the weather’s warm.

They’re just what we need to endure these dark days of winter, weighed down by heavy coats, heavy sweaters and five pounds of extra insulation that reappear every year.
Yes, we can imagine spring is almost around the corner, if only by taking in a store window display or Web-surfing what's new online - which is just what I do with my morning coffee as I wait for the wood stove to warm my toes. Some favorites:
Net-a-porter.com has a fabulous A-Z of spring fashion.
Fashion-era.com breaks down key spring and summer trends in color, patterns, silhouettes and more....
Womensfashion.suite101.com is a treasure trove of ideas and how-to advice for spring.
Back to yellow... I've always been a little shy about wearing yellow clothing, but accessories are another story. If you love yellow, consider it in smaller doses:
Anthropologie has an amazing "Full Spectrum" multi-colored resin bangle on its site. I did a little research, and discovered it's made by Sobral, a Brazilian company. Do a little Googling, and you can find other places to buy this colorful jewelry.
Check Shopbop for some striking yellow handbags.
And finally: the neon yellow Cynthia Vincent pumps... Pull on your foul-weather gear (yellow, we hope) and head down to Chantal in the Old Port. If your size is gone, try Zappos or Amazon.com.
Admit it: You could use a little sunshine.
