Mid-season update
We had the first major success of the gardening season. I picked a half a 5-gallon pail of peas that produced 2 quarts of shelled peas for cooking.
They all disappeared with nine people at the table.
I loved getting the rain overnight. My rain gauge said 0.7 inches, which is higher than what was reported at noon in Portland. And more could be coming tonight. It will be good to put the sprinkler away.
We also had a quart of sugar snap peas as an appetizer for the Fourth. A good day all around.
